Vinnie Loves Maude QuiltaLong
What do you do with a great pattern with lots of piecing to cut down on the daunting factor? Start a quiltalong! In five sessions, we'll go from a pile of scraps to a finished quilt, with tips, tricks, size and design options, color theories, and yes, plenty of butt kicking to keep you going along the way.
Schedule:
May 18 - Intro and Official Launch
May 31 - Fabric Selection
June 7 - Cutting
June 14 - Piecing Blocks
June 28 - Spacers and Borders
July 12 - Quilting and Finishing
Vinnie Loves Maude is one of my favorite patterns I've designed. When I first designed it, I had in mind a very modern looking quilt - imagine my surprise when the pieces of the cover quilt all came together with a bit of a "vintage" vibe. Cue the chickens and feed sacks!
But this block is so versatile, can be made in different sizes and a different color scheme can give it a whole different look. Until you dig into the pattern, you just won't know what it is capable of! And that's where the quiltalong comes in.
All you need is the Vinnie Loves Maude pattern - ask for it at your favorite shop (yes, it is available from Checker should your shop owner ask!), buy it direct from me on my website, or purchase it from Craftsy. Then get ready to use the pattern and expand upon it with the Quiltalong sessions starting May 31.
Not able to start with us, or finding this years later? No problem! This is a quiltalong that will never end. Just click the links and join in any time!

Okay! I just bought the pattern! I'm looking forward to this because I think it will be good for using my scraps to make community service quilts!
