Daily Craft TV Giveway Winner and Aiming for Accuracy Horrors

In so many ways, it is terribly tempting to give my Aiming For Accuracy UFO as a special extra prize to the winner of my Daily Craft TV giveaway. But that would just be mean. But more on that in a moment.

So congratulations to Nita, #10 in the list of comments and #10 of the Random Number Generator's choice, but #1 in my heart due to her comment: "I would love to learn how to bake and decorate a nice cake from scratch. Right now looks like we're in the same league..."

Zing, Snap, and Awesome. I'll take a class with you anytime. Look out, Wilton's. We're going to graduate from the Cake Wrecks-worthy to Cake Bosses before you can say "Who used the mixer to curl the dog's hair this time?"

Congratulations, Nita! Let me know how your class turns out.

So we reach that time of the blog again. The time when I reveal my latest attempt to finish this A4A challenge with a decent attitude about my fabric choices but fail miserably yet again. The "what was I thinking" moment just goes on and on.

We're getting close to the end of the fun, and honestly, again, the actual PROJECT has been fun and I am getting pretty good at points. Me. Perfection is Overrated Queen. The thing that will keep me from continuing to be good at points after this project is over is that I will happily go back to failing to care about them, never fear. But for now, let's check out these babies.

Don't cut yourself on that sharp point!

This is here less to brag, but more to show the cuteness of the snowman popping out of the corner. But yeah, a little bit to brag, too.

The first of the three units that make up this puzzle style quilt is now complete, if not a stunning example of fabric selection prowess. Feel free to avert your eyes as needed.

I know.
I'm threatening to donate it to the Breakfast With Santa raffle at Greta's school. I mean after all, one of the things I preach over and over in my PIO lecture is that non-quilters will find any quilt stunning, as was the case with the one I donated last year, but I'd like to see if that notion holds up with this one. However, my children, who are not quilters, so case in point, love it and are begging me to keep it. If I do, I'm going to make sure I stipulate in my will that this is to be handed down from generation to generation and hung on the wall at Christmas by someone in the family every single year from now until eternity.

That will show them.
